Motor manufacturers interested in taking a closer look at Raser’s advanced motor technology can apply for a test demonstration program.

The Symetron™ Test Demonstration Program allows additional disclosure of Raser’s proprietary technology under confidential non-disclosure agreements and additional thorough testing of the technology installed in specific applications.

The test demonstration program has four main phases.

  1. Paper Test
  2. Installation
  3. Dynamometer Test
  4. Analysis & Review

After each phase of the test program, an analysis is conducted to qualify advancement in the program.

Phase 1: Paper Test
In the first phase or “paper test” a manufacturer submits current specifications of a selected motor and their performance objectives. Raser’s engineers then match these specifications and objectives with the strengths of the Raser’s technology and determine if there is a good “fit.” Raser would provide an initial analysis and determine if there are sufficient benefits predicted to justify advancing to the next test phase. If so, a report containing projected predictions based on motor specifications and test objectives would be developed for the manufacturer. Should these predictions justify further consideration, advancement to the next step would be recommended.

Phase 2: Installation
Phase 2 is the physical Installation of Symetron™ Technology into the manufacturer’s selected drive systems. This can happen via modification of an existing motor or fabrication of a demonstration motor and controller. The manufacturer would provide test motors and adequate documentation to facilitate installation.

Phase 3. Dynamometer Testing
In phase three, the Symetron™ enhanced motor and controller would then be sent to an independent accredited testing lab and/or the manufacturers own testing facility. All tests will require Non disclosure agreements. Prior to testing, Raser Technologies and the manufacturer would jointly develop a test protocol based on Raser’s recommendations and the manufacturers performance objectives. Results of the test will be available to the manufacturer for review.

Phase 4. Analysis & Review
A written analysis and recommendation will be provided by Raser’s engineers to accompany the test results and will be delivered to the manufacturer.
At this point the manufacturer has the option to conduct their own field-testing by installing the test motor into working applications.

Please note. The manufacturer also has the option of moving to licensing at any time during the test demonstration program.

Several manufacturers are currently involved at various levels of the test demonstration currently.
