Symetron Alternator Technology
Category: Motors | PrintUp to 56% Improvement in Power Output Over Standard Brushless Alternator
Advanced Raser Design Improves Alternator Output from 160 AMPs to 230 AMPs
Next Generation Alternator
Raser’s advanced engineering has been applied to a standard 160 amp brushless alternator showing dramatic improvement:
- Up to 43% increase in amp output @ 24 °C
- Up to 56% increase in amp output @ 110 °C
- An average 6% increase in improved efficiency with greater output for both temperatures
Standard Automotive J-56 Test Protocol (75° F)

Symetron enhanced alternator produces 43% higher output from same-sized unit.
Testing Under Elevated Heat Conditions (230° F)

Raser demonstrated 56% improvement when tested at an elevated temperature of 110° C (230° F); suggesting greater reliability under the higher-heat conditions of a high-heat, under the hood engine compartment.

The increased output can be achieved at less than 10% increase in cost. It is ideally suited to meet the increasing power demands for the truck and bus markets.
Benefits
- Improves output up to 56% without changing size
- Increases performance in same size motor or reduce alternator size with same output
- Provides more power for additional accessories for today’s vehicles
- Delivers the needed increased power to replace belt-driven mechanical and hydraulic devices with electric motor-driven subsystems in order to improve fuel efficiency
