Raser To Present New Geothermal Rapid Development Process At GEA Conference
Wednesday, October 1, 2008 | Category: Geothermal News, Press Releases | PrintProvo, Utah, October 1, 2008 — Raser Technologies, Inc. will present its revolutionary rapid deployment process of its modular geothermal power generation networks at the Geothermal Energy Conference and Expo in Reno, Nevada, October 5-8, 2008. The conference is sponsored jointly by the Geothermal Energy Association (GEA) and the Geothermal Resources Council (GRC). The event is the largest geothermal conference in the world and will feature expert presentations and panel discussions examining the status, outlook and issues specific to geothermal energy. Experts from around the world gather at the conference to discuss progress in the geothermal industry and state and federal policies to help expand geothermal energy development. This year’s conference marks a turning point in the geothermal industry where there is a renaissance sparked by rising energy costs and development of new technologies.
Raser’s Thermo project development in Southern Utah will be presented as the first in a series of its new generation of rapidly deployed geothermal power plants that are helping to unlock the vast geothermal resources. Raser’s Thermo project is leading the new wave of geothermal projects producing clean energy with zero emissions and is the first geothermal power plant to be built in 20 years in the state of Utah. GeothermEx, Inc., a geothermal consulting and services firm, recently concluded in a study of Raser’s Thermo resource area that it would likely support more than 230 megawatts of geothermal development, making it the most significant US geothermal find in the last 25 years.
Those wishing to participate in the conference and visit the Raser exhibition can register and obtain more information at
